Our Goals

Our group started meeting with the goal of building connections between college students and the early childhood community in Central Pennsylvania.  After discussions with PennAEYC leaders, we decided to start a regional group of PennAEYC, with the following additional goals:

Build connections with rural areas to support and promote quality programs for young children

Provide support and resources to PennAEYC members based on their needs and interests such as networking and accreditation.

Support the Week of the Young Child, professional development, and advocacy for our profession.

Upcoming Events

Our planning group will be meeting this summer to plan projects for the Fall.  To join the planning group, email kjohnson@pennaeyc.org.

 How to be involved

Join your colleagues by participating in the new Central Region group of the Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children.

1.  If you are not already a member, join PennAEYC.

2.  Join our email list so you will receive notices of our activities and so you can participate in conversations and planning.  Join the list by sending a request to kjohnson@pennaeyc.org.

3.  Let us know what’s going on in your community, county, and program:

What is going great?

What help, support, and resources you could use?

What local events could we participate in or help with?

4.  Consider hosting or attending a meeting of our group in your area.
