Kelly Swanson

Kelly Swanson is the Communications and Public Policy Director for the Pennsylvania Key. In this position, Kelly develops communications strategies and materials for the Office of Child Development and Early Learning, and provides advocacy and communications support to Early Childhood Community Engagement Groups and providers of OCDEL programs. Major campaigns include statewide television and radio campaigns featuring Governor Rendell for Keystone STARS and Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, and the Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children public awareness campaign.

 

Prior to joining the PA Key, Kelly was Communications Manager at the Pennsylvania Child Care Association for four years. Before returning to her home state, Kelly worked in Washington DC for 12 years in communications and marketing at several associations, including the Edison Electric Institute and the Council on Foundations.

 

Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College and a Masters degree in International Affairs from The Elliott School for International Affairs at George Washington University.
