Bucks County AEYC:  Educator's Gatherings; First Aid and CPR free for members; Annual Fall Conference in October with over 600 EC educators in attendance; provide grants for numerous workshops to programs with BCAEYC members.  Also provide scholarships for graduate, undergraduate and CDA coursework.   to support Professional Development events.

 

Capital Area AEYC

 

Central Susquehanna AEYC:  CSAEYC conference is being planned for April 10th.  The conference offers Act 48, CEUs, and child care credits.  Members and college students attend at a reduced cost.  CSAEYC also holds 2 Leadership Roundtables throughout the year and plans a professional development session that is held in conjunction with the annual general membership meeting.  These events are at no cost to members.

 

Delaware Valley AEYC:  DVAEYC offers ongoing professional development opportunities throughout our service area; we continue to provide career advising services for practitioners who need to return to college to meet higher standards in PA’s QRIS system. This fall, we opened these services up to all members at reduced feed (previously they were only available to selected individuals through a funded grant).

 

East Penn AEYC:  We partner with Berks County IU’s Early Childhood Connection Network, Penn State Berks Campus and Ag Center, Better Kids Care, and Northeast Regional Key to publicize and host training for our members.  We publish professional development articles and publicize countywide training opportunities in EPAEYC newsletter and provide a forum for speakers at our meetings and special events. We also sponsor the annual Care for Kids Special Needs Conference.

 

Lancaster Area AEYC

 

Lebanon Valley AEYC:  annual conference held by LVAEYC offered Act 48 hoursand CEUs.  Encouraged CDA through HACC, was able to offer it at a discounted price.

 

 

Lehigh and Northampton AEYC

 

Monroe County AEYC:  Gave a Northampton Community College ECE Scholarship; STAR 3 and 4 centers were given a free dinner at our annual Recognition Dinner through money given by the Key Office and Rep. John Siptroth.

 

Northeast Penn AEYC

 

Northwest Penn AEYC

 

Pittsburgh AEYC:  As a Professional Development Organization in the SW Region, NW Region, and for School-Aged Care, we conduct PD on almost a daily basis.   We are in the process of a program evaluation (funded by the Forbes Fund) to assess the effectiveness of the PD we deliver (including accreditation and advising).  In addition, we serve on the OCDEL professional development committee, Keystone STARS advisory committee, and the SW Key Leadership Team.
