Delaware Valley AEYC: Every one of DVAEYC’s staff members have an annual goal to recruit members. We train staff in developing their message to prospects. We developed a new marketing brochure highlighting our work and mailed about 4,000 copies to early childhood practitioners in our community, including K-3 schools and practitioners. We created a membership coordinator position this year and have been working to develop new benefits. We offer a significant discount on all services for members.
East Penn AEYC: We are using e-mail to contact members with updates and reminders. We host several dinner meetings with door prizes to attract members from further distances. Our current board is very proactive in welcoming new members and encouraging them to be more active. We continue to send invitations to local college education groups to attend our meetings. We are encouraging participation from STARS programs through work with the Northeast Regional Key. Active participation of our board on the board of the United Way Care for Kids Coalition brings our info to a very diverse group.
